The 6th generation of Mitsubishi TRITON (hereinafter “the car“) made its debut on 26 July 2023 at Queen SiriKit Convention Center. The car comes in three body types: Double Cab, Mega Cab, Single Cab and was designed based on “Beast Mode” design concept making the overall look of the car.

Pursuant to Mitsubishi Press Release, The key features of the car are as follows:
  •  A beefed-up body size compared to the previous model, a newly developed ladder frame that provides durability and reliability, and a newly developed engine that achieves both higher output and improved environmental performance
  •  A newly developed suspension that provides excellent ride comfort and steering stability, and Super Select 4WD-II system and upgraded drive modes that achieve high road performance
  •  A front face with a strong sense of presence and reliability, a wide and robust styling, and a classy interior offering excellent functionality and operability
  • Significantly improved safety and comfort for a wide range of purposes, from business to personal use

Engine & Drivetrain

Currently, the only engine available to Thai customers is  2.4 Diesel Single Turbo Mid-Power Engine  producing 184 Ps and 430 Newton Meters of Torque. However, Mitsubishi will launch more variants of powertrains at the end of 2023 including 2 more powertrains i.e. 2.4 Diesel Single Turbo Low-Power Engine producing 150 Ps and 330 Newton Meters of Torque and 2.4 Diesel Bi-Turbo High-Power Engine producing 204 Ps and 470 Newton Meters of Torque.
